Rater Biographies

Judith Montero, PsyD

Dr. Judith Montero has over 13 years of experience conducting psychological testing.  She obtained her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from the Miami Institute of Psychology, and received two Masters degrees in Counseling and Clinical Psychology from the same institution.  At Segal Institute, Dr. Montero concentrates her practice on both in-patient and out-patient drug trials.  She is responsible for assessing the psychological history of patients, while conducting efficacy and cognitive rating scales.  Being fully bilingual, Dr. Montero is able to assess Spanish-speaking patients. Dr. Montero has experience with almost every CNS rating scale and has been certified by every major rater training company. Dr Montero currently serves as Rater Supervisor at Segal Institute where her responsibilities consist of training in most areas, including minimizing placebo response, rater drift, and diagnostic misclassifications. She also conducts ongoing quality assurance of rating scales and ensures rater certifications are completed as per sponsor requirements.

Erin L. Tireman, MS, PhD (ABD)

Dr. Erin Tireman has over six years of experience conducting psychological testing and a clinical background in the treatment of various psychological disorders, including, major depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and schizophrenia. She obtained her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and has currently completed all her coursework for her PhD with a specialization in Neuropsychology from the same institution. She has an extensive history in research and was a research coordinator for the Neuropsychology Assessment Center at Nova Southeastern University. Since joining Segal Institute, she has performed assessments, cognitive tests, and efficacy rating scales for inpatient and outpatient children and adults in clinical research trials.

Darlene Perez, PsyD

Dr. Darlene Perez has over 5 years of clinical experience in conducting psychological testing and psychotherapy with individuals diagnosed with a broad spectrum of psychological disorders. She earned her Doctorate and Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the University of Miami. Dr. Perez has provided treatment and assessment of adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has worked with children and adolescents with dual diagnoses. Dr. Perez is also bilingual which has enabled her to conduct clinical services with Spanish-speaking individuals. At Segal Institute, Dr. Perez is responsible for assessing individuals' psychological history, as well as conducting cognitive tests and efficacy rating scales in clinical research trials.
