Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists conduct Phase II-IV inpatient research studies
for most CNS and addiction disorders affecting the pediatric and adolescent populations.
Segal Institute's success is largely due to the large volume of patients seen by the
clinician network at its sister company, Compass Health Systems.

Health Systems is the largest provider of mental health services in each of
the communities where its practices are located. Segal Institute's inpatient sites
specializing in CNS and Addiction disorders for Pediatric & Adolescent patients are
located in South Carolina and Colorado, including Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health
and Highlands Behavioral Health System respectively.
In 2008, the Compass Colorado psychiatrists saw approximately
400 pediatric and adolescent inpatients. The Compass Carolina psychiatrist rendered
psychiatric services to approximately 200 children.
